Phone numbers and calls¶
Reserve and assign a number¶
An active subscription is required to reserve a business phone number. Open Phone numbers, search by country and area code, and select a number. Assign it to the receptionist that should answer it.
Your plan controls the number of receptionists and phone numbers available. Review the current allowance in the app before reserving another number.
Check your first customer call¶
The assigned receptionist must be Live, the account must have an active plan, and call minutes must remain available. Call the business number from another phone and check:
- The greeting and business name are correct.
- Common customer questions receive useful answers.
- Appointment requests follow your hours and booking policy.
- Requests for a person reach the configured destination.
- An unanswered handoff follows your chosen fallback.
Browser rehearsals simulate transfers. A phone call is needed to check the actual destination and its voicemail or backup behavior.
Review call activity¶
Open Call activity to review completed customer conversations, caller details, and transcripts. Where available, call activity also shows language, reason, priority, transfer destination, and transfer result. Staff can correct reason and priority labels.
Use Analytics to review customer call activity. Browser tests have their own history and do not use your customer call minute allowance.
Keep the service available¶
Monitor the monthly minute allowance in Settings. If a subscription becomes inactive or minutes run out, the receptionist cannot continue normal customer call service. Use Manage billing to review the subscription and payment status.
If a number or call is not working as expected, follow Troubleshooting.
